Charlie Engle

Charlie Engle is one of the world's premier endurance athletes. The father of two is a Hollywood producer, a motivational speaker, a world-class athlete and a passionate humanitarian.

He has competed in over 200 marathons, triathlons and adventure races. In February of 2007 Charlie and his team became the first people to run across the entire Sahara Desert. They ran more than 42 miles per day for 111 days while crossing the most forbidding terrain on earth. Through this experience, he helped create H2O Africa in an effort to bring clean, sustainable water solutions to the people of the Sahara.

Charlie's next mission will be to attempt the world record for the fastest human to run across America. In August 2008, Charlie will leave San Francisco running 75 miles per day for 45 straight days hoping to reach New York City's Times Square as the new world record holder.
